Welcome to Alaska

Well I did it! I don't know how, but I was on time this morning! I packed the night before like a true procrastinator! I made it to bed by midnight and got up at 3:30ish to get ready and pack the rest of my things and was on the road by 4:15; mind you this is all in the morning! With Gina driving and Mom riding in the back all was going alright, then about half way to Milwaukee it started to sink in: Holy shit I'm moving to Alaska! Well, nervous tummy started before we left Watertown, but I was starting to feel queasy :(  We get to the airport and Gina asks if I'll be alright, and I just needed a minute outside a moving vehicle to get my self together. Got all checked in and was starting to feel a little better, then my mother gives me a hug and starts crying! Well, when some one's crying I can't let them cry alone so of course the tears come, but not just me but Gina as well. "No worries Mom, I'll be back at Christmas! It'll just be like college only it's farther away" That worked!

Milwaukee to Minneapolis left on time (SWEET!). No missing my connecting flight like New Orleans, grrr. The flight was a very short because by the time I got comfortable, we were landing. Then had about an hour layover and it was time for the big flight. I slept for the first half of the flight, thank God! Then the rest of the flight was just beautiful! I had a window seat so I got some really good pictures of the mountains near Juneau! Then the landing in Anchorage was just breath-taking! Mountains in the background like they were the wallpaper for the city. Didn't get many pictures of Anchorage yet, but I hope to tomorrow. Sorry today wasn't that eventful, but spent the day shopping to get some food for Diomede, but I've met some fun people already and I know once in Unalakleet I'll meet some more awesome people!
